Upon arrival in Errachidia, you’ll be picked up and driven south to the Merzouga desert. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in Merzouga.

Start the day exploring the Merzouga region. Visit an old eyeliner mine, meet nomads in their traditional tents while sipping Berber tea, and stop in Khamlia village for Gnaoua music and dance performed by locals with roots from Mali, Sudan, and Niger. After lunch, walk through palm groves and visit Merzouga’s wild lake, also known as Flamingos Lake. Later, hop on camels and cross the Sahara dunes, pausing to watch the sunset. Reach the desert camp for dinner, enjoy Berber drum music by the fire, and sleep under a sky full of stars.

After breakfast, leave the desert for Rissani, the former Tafilalet capital. Explore its lively souk, especially bustling on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Continue to Erfoud to visit a fossilized marble workshop, then pass through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad on your way to the Todra Gorges. Take in the towering red canyon walls and enjoy some free time to explore before heading to the Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades. Stop by the famous “Monkey Fingers” rock formations and viewpoints overlooking the valley. Overnight stay and dinner in a hotel.

On the final day, visit Kalaa Magouna’s Rose Valley, known for its annual rose festival in May, where locals sell rose-based products like perfumes and oils. Drive through Skoura’s palm groves and reach Ouarzazate, often called the gateway to the desert, to see movie studios where famous films were shot. Next, visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a fortified village featured in films such as Gladiator and The Mummy, as well as TV shows like Game of Thrones. Continue through the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass and the High Atlas Mountains, stopping for photos and lunch. Arrive in Marrakech, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of the tour.
