Your guide will pick you up early from your hotel or the airport in Ouarzazate. Start exploring the city with visits to the iconic Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Studios, where many famous movies were filmed. Next, head to Kasbah Amridil in Skoura, a historic fortress surrounded by lush palm groves.
Continue to the Rose Valley, famous for its annual Rose Festival in May. Drive through the Dades Valley and stop to enjoy panoramic views of the dramatic Dades Gorges. From there, visit Todra Gorges, where the Todra River has carved out towering red canyon walls.
After a break for lunch, reach Merzouga in the Sahara Desert. Switch to camels and ride across the golden dunes during sunset, a breathtaking sight. Arrive at your luxury desert camp, enjoy traditional Berber music around a campfire, and fall asleep under the stars. Dinner is included.
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, return on camels to Merzouga, where your driver will take you on a deeper exploration of the area.
Start with a visit to an ancient eyeliner mine, then meet local nomads in their handmade tents to learn about their way of life while enjoying a cup of Berber tea. Head to Khamlia village to experience Gnaoua music and energetic performances by its residents, who trace their roots to sub-Saharan Africa.
After lunch, walk through a palm grove and visit the wild Merzouga Lake, where flamingos can often be spotted. Dinner and overnight stay will be at a comfortable hotel.
Visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has appeared in films like Gladiator and The Mummy, as well as TV shows like Game of Thrones. From there, cross the Tizi-n-Tichka pass and travel through the High Atlas Mountains before reaching Marrakech. The tour concludes with a drop-off at your accommodation.

If your group is larger, you’ll travel in a Mercedes Benz Sprinter minibus. These options ensure a smooth and pleasant journey, allowing you to relax and enjoy the tour.
Will three days let me see the Sahara Desert properly?Three days gives you enough time to reach the desert, ride camels, stay overnight in a camp, and explore a bit. You won’t see every corner, but you’ll enjoy a real Sahara experience.
The popular dunes near Merzouga or Zagora are about 5-7 hours from Ouarzazate by car or van, depending on your destination and stops along the way.
